That is great. I like PLEG more and more… problem is it is getting bigger and bigger… need to upgrade from Vera lite to Vera 4 soon so i can split my PLEG’s…

I hope you do not mind that I update PLEG to extend the Schedules to not only specify a time to fire, but also optionally have a time to end an interval.
I would also like to use your idea of optionally adding some randomness to the start and stop times.

I think those would be very useful additions to PLEG. I created LogicTimer to allow dynamic and randomized timing in PLEG. If you make it redundant, I will be very happy. ;D
While you are delving into your code, would you consider adding keywords or properties for DAY, DOW, DOY, MONTH, etc? I know I’m not the only user who wants to adjust logic according to weekly or seasonal periods.
I have also found the Flag function of LogicTimer really useful for adding a form of state-machine logic to PLEG conditions. Would you consider building something similar in? It really only needs the ability of an action to write a string to a property which can then be tested in conditions.
I believe that there was a possibility that, if a running timer ended during a Luup restart, the timer-ended event could be missed by PLEG. I have changed LogicTimer so that, if a timer was running before a restart, it will wait 30 seconds before either restarting it (if the end time has not been reached) or signalling that it has ended. It will show in the log if it restarted or ended a running timer.
Only I_LogicTimer1.xml has changed.
