LOG_CHECK_MEMORY_LEAK pMem start

I’ve seen the string “LOG_CHECK_MEMORY_LEAK pMem start” in my logs. I searched the forums and, while the string appeared in posted logs, I didn’t find an explanation of the string itself.

While the string isn’t accompanied by anything binding it to a specific plugin or device, the hex address listed at the end of the string is referenced in the logs quite a bit. In my case, the address seems to be used for all dimmable and appliance switches I have included in the network. So I don’t think it is a plugin leaking.

Two questions:

Is it really an indicator of a memory leak? If it is indeed an indicator of a leak I will open a ticket as it isn’t, AFAIK, a plugin issue.

If not, why do I see the message?

If you want to sleep better at night … quit looking at the log file ;D

It wouldn’t be the first time memory leaks kept me up at night. Makes for strange nightmares though
