Hi Guys,
I have had a look through the forums and not found something that answers this, so here goes.
I have already an existing Vera 3 unit at my property and I am about to install a new Vera Edge unit (Both UI7) at a different property.
Is it possible to monitor and control the Vera Edge from the Pro unit and how would I do this.
Ideally I don’t want to create a new account as this will be for monitoring a residential property in another part of the country. Broadband is currently being installed in that address so connectivity will always be on.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Mike
You can have multiple Veras under a single account.
The Veras are not themselves connected to each other in any way.
Hi,
I am already doing that, was hoping there was another way, instead of having to switch in and out of controllers.
Regards,
Mike
you could create a setup where the two vera devices would exchange status and issue commands to one another (e.g. a virtual device on one is kept up-to-date by the other).
Kind of complicated to do, but not completely impossible.
it seems like just setting up notifications to your mobile phone would be a solid option for the remote unit. “let me know when this (doesn’t) happens…”
For different properties I just use the app to merge the devices. What app are you using now?
Something like Imperihome on Andriod and Homewave on iOS allow you to have multiple controllers
You open one app and have access to both units.
