I have two lights. One is an overhead light controlled by GE dimmer and the other a LED bulb (LB60Z-1) in a table lamp. Both function via z-wave independently. I have a simple scene to link them so that when I turn on the GE light the LED bulb will go on and another scene to turn off the bulb when the GE dimmer is turned off. I would also like to link the dimmer/brightness level so when i change the dimmer from the wall the LED bulb would change to… Any way to do this?
You can do it PLEG or with LUA code in a scene. However since change in dimmer status is not instant like the on off command there is going to be a delay in when the scene is triggered (by a few seconds to a few minutes).
If you want it this to work really well, you should replace the GE dimmer with one that supports direct association like the Lutron or Cooper Aspire, then the bulb will mimic your switch exactly, even if Vera is not running, no scenes needed.

I agree when people try and link two devices together they always seemed to be disappointed with delay, lag and inconsistency. Direct association or atleast a switch with true instant status would be a better upgrade and dimming may always be harder to accomplish.
