I have 3-4 of these in my installation that were working fine up until just a few weeks ago. My Vera Edge had a brain fart and all my devices lost their room assignments and mostly stopped working. I restored configuration and z-wave network to a known working copy and all seemed fine. All primary devices work fine, but my Linear WT00Z slave switches still aren’t working.
For each switch, I’m using GroupID 1 to control a specific device/devices on and off. I’ve tried removing the group assignments and re-assigning them; no dice. I’ve tried un-pairing the devices, but the Vera never recognizes the devices during the unpairing process. I’ve tried deleting the devices through the UI (UI7) and I get a notification that they will be removed, but they never get deleted. I’ve even tried using AltUI to remove the devices to no avail.
Somehow I got ONE of them to work again but I have no clue how I did it…it almost just randomly started working on its own.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to forcibly remove these devices from my setup?
you can delete from your browser…
http://LOCAL_VERA_IP:3480/data_request?id=device&action=delete&device=DEVICE_NUMBER
where LOCAL_VERA_IP is Vera’s LAN IP ( i.e. 192.168.1.125) and DEVICE_NUMBER is the respective device you with to delete
and then I’d do a re-boot

Cool - thanks…will give it a try
Ok - so the link to delete worked fine and I was able to re-add 2 of the switches - thanks!
2 of the other ones I finally got to work / respond again by being persistent. I deleted the group information, re-polled the device, hit anything and everything that forced a poll/configure event on the devices, re-added the group information, etc. This combination eventually led to the switches working again.
I also had issues with my Linear garage door controller not responding - similar issue. To get this fixed I had to use the delete link and re-add the device. Nothing else worked. the open/close sensor was working, but the main unit would never issue an open/close command. I think I’m finally back to 100% function now after that vera brain fart.
