Linear WD500Z-1 scene extremely delayed

In my kitchen there are three different lighting circuits and all of them have been zwave enabled via wall switches. The main switch is a 4-way switch centered around a Linear WD500Z-1. My goal is for the system to operate where when I activate (or deactivate) the main switch, it triggers a scene that activates (or deactivates) the two other lighting circuits. So when I hit the main switch, all the lights in the kitchen go on and visa-versa.

I have set up a scene to do this. It triggers using the main WD500Z-1 switch’s on/off event. When I manually trigger the light via the vera app by scenes operate perfectly. However, when I actually physically press the toggle on the main switch, only the main toggles and then maybe 1-5 minutes later, the scene runs and the others lights toggle. The delay is the issue. I want all the lights to go on and off at roughly the same time. The only thing I can think of is the WD500Z-1 isn’t reporting its status fast enough. I don’t know how to diagnose/repair this.

Thanks in advance.

The issue you are experiencing is due to the switch not supporting what is called “Instant Status”. You’ll need to use switches that support this feature or one that supports associations. I am not sure if these switches support associations or not. If you do a search on the forum for those terms you will find many topics on them.
