Linear FS20Z-1 Physical Mounting - Decora?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how they physically mounted a Linear FS20Z-1 fixture module? It looks like it might fit in a Decora wall plate but no dimensions were given anywhere nor any mention of Decora.

The design of this device is really awkward and I’m surprised that they haven’t changed it at all over the years.

Attached is a picture of someone’s mount where they put it inside a Decora face plate. I don’t like that mounting option very much, but it appears to work.

I think that most people put it inside the gang box and then use a solid face plate over it. Here’s a picture of someone’s install, on Homeseer’s forum.

Edit: Note that the Homeseer picture is a large gang box. The FS20Z will fill a standard gang box and you will probably need a deep box.
