Currently I have 6 Oregon Scientific temperature sensors. I have tried adding another one, but it started interfereing with other sensors. The one i tried to add has 3 channels, I tried all 3 different channels but it doesnt work. I would like to add 1 more sensor, is there a way of doing that ?
All the sensors i have are from different devices, 1 from a weather station, 1 from a clock, 3 from a Confort RAR501 multi zone weather station and another from a wireless thermometer. They all are either Oregon Scientific or work on the same protocol
There is a limit, but it depend of the types of sensors. To identify a specific sensor, the plugin relies on the type - See http://jeelabs.net/projects/cafe/wiki/Decoding_the_Oregon_Scientific_V2_protocol#Oregon-Scientific-sensors - for a list, and the “random code” assigned when batteries are inserted.
Or use my modification (http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,4991.msg126316.html#msg126316) and get an address based on the selected channel.
The Oregon sensor “broadcast” every minute, so make sure they are spread out “on the minute” - check the log - probably only a problem if you have many sensor - I’m running with 8 sensors
I had just seen your modification but i am not entirely sure i understand it. I think i need some time to look at it again and try to understand what it does.

and how can i change that ?
I am about to add another temperature sensor (I bought one of the 10 channel ones hoping it wont interfere with my existing ones), do you think i should change over to your mod ? If so, i just upload the xml file you posted to develop apps - upload luup file ? Will it recognise my existing sensors as i have logic attached to some of them
I have never changed batteries on any of them, it sounds as if i might run into problems once i do
