Lights turned on and left on

Vera at remote location. Can not power cycle or remove dongle

Logged into FindVera today, and found 2 of the three lights controlled by Vera on. Joy. They have been on since 10:15pm Tuesday night, as per the notifications:
State Changed: 100 - 2009-08-11 22:20:51
State Changed: 100 - 2009-08-11 22:15:22

Over the next 14 hours, a series of “Poll Failed” notification messages are displayed:
State Changed: 100 - 2009-08-12 17:55:21
event #8: Poll failed - 2009-08-12 17:54:13
State Changed: 100 - 2009-08-12 17:54:11
event #8: Poll failed - 2009-08-12 17:52:45
State Changed: 100 - 2009-08-12 17:52:41

The light is currently polling and green cogs all around.

This has happened before, as previously documented here:

Both lights are set on a scene timer to go on at 10:15pm, then after 5 mins one goes back to its previous state (off), and the other does the same after 15 mins. Looks like that isn’t happening.

Anyone else having their lights turned on and left on? Ideas?

After finding my lights on and posting message below last night I turned off all the lights remotely. You can see the notification here:
State Changed: 0 - 2009-08-12 18:16:09
State Changed: 0 - 2009-08-12 18:15:05

Today - 11:30am ET - I logged in and the lights are all on again. They went on last night at 10:15pm (as specified in the timed scene):
State Changed: 100 - 2009-08-12 22:15:23

BUT never turned off again and have been on all night again. They are supposed to turn off 5 and 15 minutes later.

This is probably the simplest Use Case for Vera, and I simply can’t get it to be reliable. So much for “saving energy”. Anyone dealing with this?

I will try to submit a ticket again. Argh.

I’ve been following this thread, but just out of curiosity … until now.

Today, I set up a simple scene as follows:

When anyone unlocks the Schlage deadbolt…
…turn on lamp module at 50%
…wait 2 minutes, then “go back to prior setting”.

Well, starting with the lamp module ‘Off’ (every time), the first event happens (I unlock the door), and the second command occurs (lamp comes on at half-brightness), but the lamp remains on forever after the scene runs.

Contrary to earlier theories about Vera seeming to remember to perform follow-up events with short delays, but forgetting those with long(er) delays, I’d aver that “2 minutes” is one of the shortest delays Vera offers, yet she’s neglecting her duties.

Any clues or work-arounds?

(Update: changing scene’s Command to “after 2 minutes” “off” causes the scene to function as expected, and the lamp is turned off correctly.)
