Lights suddenly turning on in the daytime (PLTS)

So everything was fine last night when i went to bed. This morning two of my PLTS devices are turning the lights on during the day, even though they are set to come on 35 mins before sunset until 22:30, when they detect motion.

I was out all day yesterday and ive not changed any logic in the devices. Any ideas?!?! im at a complete loss and was wondering whether something in the vera edge unit had changed?

Check your log to see what time Vera thought it was when it turned the lights on. Perhaps you had a reboot while the web time was not available.

Sadly my knowledge doesnt extend that far to looking at Logs via ssh so ive just installed eventwatcher.

This is one of the lights turning on in event watcher, as you can see system time shows to be correct:

Attach the “Status” via PDF, not the “Report”. The Status has the timestamps.

Its now nighttime so the light triggers correctly so the timestamps in the status report look correct. Will post tomorrow.

It’s possible that the vera time has corrected itself and now events will operate correctly. If so you will have to see what happens long trm. If you get errors again then check those logs.
I have had problems in the past due to power failures after which vera starts quicker than my router so Ilose my vera time. It only corrects after vera does a later time check and correct.
Of course it could be something completely different. ???

Thanks, will turn PLTS back on and see what happens today. Want ideal yesterday as we brought our new baby home :slight_smile:

Well looks like you were right, must have been the time in Vera as its not done it since. No idea why a reboot of Vera didnt reset it though as i did a hard (remove power) and soft (in the dashboard) reboot several time which didnt fix it.
