You moved the Vera, did you do a heal (or multiple heals)? You’ve likely changed the distance of the vera from the devices and it needs to change the routing information. It will do this at night automatically (unless you turned it off), but it could take days for it to fix itself that way.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. OK… That makes sense… I will do a heal. Just wondering what is the max distance between vera and the nearest zwave device? Guess I might need to get a longer wire from the ad2usb.
It depends on a lot of factors. Mainly what is between the vera and any devices and then the devices themselves (Battery, not battery, electrical box material, etc). I have a lock that is <5’ from my vera and it has trouble communicating. Of course it has to go through my Air handler for my central A/C (read: giant frickin’ pile of METAL!). The switch next to it? Works like a charm!
The biggest factor for you is that devices that were far from the vera may now be close and vice versa. So it may be thinking “I can talk to node 3 directly and I need to go through node 3 to get to node 1” because node 3 used to be closer. The fact may be that now it can talk to node 1 directly but it needs to go through node 1 to get to node 3. This is what the heal will do and you may need to do more than one.
johnes, If these are hardwired motion detectors they will not show up tripped while the panel is armed. this is a limitation of the panel and not of the plugin, if you go over to the main AD2USB sub forum in the plugin development section and look you will find there is a way to get them to report in a armed state but involves some panel programming to setup virtual relays in the AD2USB. wireless motion and door/window sensors do not have this problem as long as the serial and loop numbers are entered into the cheat sheet.
