Light switches go comatose

In the process of installing about 60 Z-wave light switches, I have locations where I put the switches were they will work just fine for one to four days and then they go comatose. They no longer respond to Z-wave commands, the switch no longer works manually using the paddle (the light is either stuck on or off depending on its state when the switch goes comatose). Power cycling the switch (using either the air gap switch or the breaker) causes the switch to come back to life for a few days. I tried replacing the switches in these locations several times, but the problem keeps recurring. Most of the switches are Evolve, but I even tried replacing one with a GE (Jasco) switch with the same eventual result. Of the 60 switches 10 or so behave like this on a regular basis. Another 6 or so have this problem very occasionally. It happens to both dimmers and switches. All of these switches are replacing previously working (reliably) X-10 switches. They are all properly grounded and wired just like the working X-10 switches they replaced. The house has a Leviton whole house surge protector. I really don’t know where to go next in trying to figure out what is going wrong. Can anyone give me some ideas or pointers? Thanks!

I am having a similar issue, were you able to find a fix for this?
