I’ve just started out using Pleg and have written some very, very simple programs to control lights in my home. I was using scenes to control the lights but was frustrated that I couldn’t start a scene and sunset and end at a certain time of day. Using Pleg I was able to accomplish that. My next project is to control lights triggered by motion detectors. I started off using virtual switches in the program but discovered that the virtual switch which was substituting for a light would turn on and off when triggered by the virtual switch substituting for the motion detector. When I plugged in the motion detector and light for the virtual switches the same thing happens. The light will turn on and off once the motion detector has been triggered. I’m at a loss. It’s a very simple program. There are no timers or schedules. Just the two devices. Motion detector detects motion and light on. I did try using Richards light program as a guide to write mine. I had two schedules, one a timer. I have removed them and attempted to restart luup by going to apps, develop apps, serial port config and save. That’s the closest I can figure to restarting luup in U1.7. Any help or hints would be appreciated. I wanted to start off slow and build from there. My mind just doesn’t follow programming very well. Many things confound me. Thanks for any help.
