Amazon charged CA tax with my order. I don’t know why. I have been shopping from Amazon.com since they started it but this is the first I’m paying CA tax.

Amazon started charging Sales taxes, on Friday night, for CA and I think a few other states. The change has been publicized for a while now, and you’ll see articles like this one:
