Leviton VRCS4 setting scenes with dimmers at 100% and locking up

For those of you using the VRCS4 4 button scene controller there is a known bug that was acknowledged by Micasa Verde and is still being investigated that when setttng a dimmer light to 100% on a scene to be configured to the VRCS4 controller the scene does not execute correctly and that particular light does not activate and therefore the green button on the controller never illuminates at the completion of the scene.

The work around is to set any dimmer switch at 90% or less and then the scene executes correctly the green light on the 4 button controller then works correctly both when pressed on to activate the scene and when pressed off to turn of the iights activated by the scene.

I recently checked in with Mi Casa Verde Tech support and the solution is still pending but so far the 90% setting work great with no further issues. I used to spend hours before trying to understand the problem and including and excluding the scene controller only to find out the same problem repeated over and over until this work around was finally utilized.

Interesting response from MCV. IIRC, the issue is that Vera uses ‘100’ instead of ‘99’ when mapping between ‘user values’ and ‘Z-Wave values’ (100 is not a valid Z-Wave dim level…). As a workaround, I believe you can go as high as 98% in your scenes. (99 and 100 trigger said mapping, as well as active-state issues.)

Thank you for the insight to the 98% max level.
