Just got my Vera device and so far things have been wonderful… Earlier today I tried to add one of my three Leviton 4 button controller (VRCZ4). Not sure what happened but I have ended up with two controllers now in Vera, neither of which work (they both have a red dear beside them) and I can’t seem to remove them either.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you updated Vera’s firmware? Which version are you on? The VRCZ4 works pretty well on .980 for me and we’re expecting the next release to be even better. If you updated to, say, .979 and then excluded the device, you should be able to include it again and see the correct behavior. Another thing to note is that scene (in your case zone) contorllers can take longer for Vera to configure than you might expect.
Let us know your firmware version and we can give you suggestions.

While everything else about the mogration to the Vera has been very smooth, the programming of these zone controllers has become a real nightmare. I know have 3 instances of the controller in my devices, and i can not get any one of them to delete.

You might want to remove power from your VRCZ4 and perform a “remove dead node” in Vera. Then repower it and start over. I’ve had to do a factory reset on a couple of my Leviton controllers, and you might want to try that. You couldl also try powering down Vera and rebooting her. Occasionally, she fixes things herself.
Many thanks. I shut off the power to the controllers temporarily, rebooted Vera and then tried to remove them and it all worked! Powered up teh controllers again and added them back and all is working well.
