Kwikset Battery Change

I’ve been using a Kwikset lock for about 13 months now. It’s been working great. Now, the battery level is getting low.

My questions are:

-Once the batteries have been replaced, do I have to re-program the lock?
-Do I have to go through the include/exclude process with Vera 2 UI4 (as if the lock is brand new)?
-Is there anything special I need to know about the battery changing process?

I also have a Schlage lock that will need a battery change soon.

Thanks in advance!

I only know about the Kwikset ones, but you don’t have to do anything that put the new batteries in!

I own one and you can replace the batteries without reprogramming it. That said, don’t let the batteries drain to less than 40% according to a Vera 2 or you won’t be able to unlock the door without your key

Very true mine was at about 30 or 35% when it would not unlock. I put lithium batteries in about 7 months ago and still at 100%.

on the schlage take care not to hit any buttons while the batteries are out, you could loose your programming that way, otherwise not special tactics needed
