Just installed an EVL-3 with Vera and need help reading panel

Hi,

I just started this home automation and I’m hoping yall can help integrate my DSC PC1555 alarm panel.

All the lights on the circuit board checked out and it was connected to the router correctly. I used Vera’s plugin for the EVL-3 and hit detect. It found the evl-3 on the network at 192.168.1.13. After that I tried to “Read Panel” and I get the [tt]EVL3VistaAlarmPanel : discoverPanelConfig ERROR! NOT CONNECTED TO EVL3.[/tt] Alert. I tried using the default installer code for the panel of 5555 and 6321 with no luck. I’m not completely sure what the Interface Password is but I’m assuming its the EVL-3 user and password default of "“user”.

I was able to directly connect to the EVL-3 at 192.168.1.13 in the browser and I got the screen with all the zones and their status. If I opened a door or window to trip the zones it would update on the EVL-3 page and tell me which zone specifically was being tripped.

This leads me to believe that My problem is between the vera plugin and the EVL-3 chip as everything else around it seems to be functioning correctly. Can anyone help on what else could be the problem? ???

Your problem is that you installed the EVL3Vista plugin, which is for the Honeywell Vista series alarm panels.

Since you have a DSC alarm panel, you need to install the DSC Alarm plugin.
