I installed them about 15 months ago, and have had no problems with them being used on a daily basis to automatically turn lights on/off.
I noticed today that one of them no longer works. The blue LED light is no longer on, and the lights they are connected to will not turn on when I manually use the rocker switch. In addition, when I look in Vera, I see a “Can’t Detect Device” error for that device. I turned the breaker for that switch on / off - and nothing.
It sounds like this switch is dead - but before I swap it out, I thought I’d ask here if anyone had any tips to revive it.
Trying the breaker switch usually works for me. I have had these go bad before… So that’s my guess. Also, make sure the air gap switch isn’t out somehow.
There is a little tiny tab next to the LED that you can pull out that cuts all power to the switch, effectively like turning the breaker off. You pull it out, usually takes a small flat bladed screwdriver. Push in to restore power.
I have had 3 out of about 12 Jasco switches fail over the last year. I avoid them now. My Evolve/Linear devices are working great in that time without problems.
