It there a controller that competes with Vera3

i would revert the phone back to a android … my €0,02 :D
Ha, Ha, I dumped the Android for the iPhone and will never look back. But then I run Macs and the integration between all of my Macs, iPads and iPhones is totally cool. These is no android/windows system that can come close.
Everyone has there opinions on which they prefer. I own both android phones and tablets and apple iphones and ipad. I converted over from the iphone / ipad to android and I prefer the android platform, than again I may be biased as my app in written for the android platform.

Vera 3, and Vera Lite, boxes can only run UI5. They cannot be rolled back to UI4 since it was never ported to the processor/stack used in the V3/VLite models.

Which iPhone app is not working against UI5?
SQRemote

And on a side note I hate all of the verification on each and every post >:(
Does SQRemote Really not work with UI5? I thought it did…

May its the “Lite” version. I wanted to check it out befor spending for the app. If the “Lite” version won’t run that’s not good marketing.

Side note again, I guess the verification on each posts ends after a while.

There’s a list of the new-user posting restrictions in the FAQ Sticky post for this board.

Sq remote works fine for me on Vera lite.
I also have both android and iPad in the house and prefer android…

SQ Remote Lite does not have MiOS support.

Hi all,

the french i am could say that fibaro is on mios. It’s been a long time mios team confirm that information.
For european, you forget the box eedomus. It’s better than fibaro for the moment. At this time the market of domotic box explosed. There are zibase too. For me vera is a very good product for customers who wants to script. You won’t find anything elsewhere like that.
The lake of this product is ui and an easy script functionnality. Keep in mind vera is open , the forum is awesome with many customers who help and it’s without a month subscription.

Edit: and don’t need internet to be functional.
Is fibaro only EU? What is the cost. I have been using my vera’s for a few years and yes, it has it’s issues. But nothing that has not been fixed or worked around. The community is great, the access to the huge amount of apiece is great and the cost can not be beat!

For the moment Fibaro is UE only but au , us and many others are about to be released.
All is being tested right now by Fibaro distributors worldwide.

I have been in contact with Fibaro to find out if their HC2 is based upon MIOS. Their reply :"NO. IT IS 100% OUR PRODUCTION. IT IS MUCH BETTER SYSTEM THAN MIOS." Well, "much better" is still to be proven, but it is good news that it is something different.

Well, I wouldn’t be sure:

Judge for yourself:

I am from Fibaro and I can 100% assure that HC2 (NOT HC1!!!) is our own product and it not on MIOS. IT’S TRUE that HC1 was based on MIOS but it was strongly customized. As we could not expand HC1 in a professional way we created hc2.
All the links You attached regards to HC1, pls check the dates. HC2 was introduced to the market in the beginning of 2012, the official presentation was at CeBit.

Note the references to micasaverde? Shame they have something to hide as I really like their modules (have two and a lot more coming)
Again me from FIBARO

Just let us know which Merten do you want to be supported by FIBARO and we do it asap.
You have mentioned 2-gang controllers,

Aska,

Thanks for the clarifications.

BTW, is there an ETA for API support for HC2?

Am i the only person that prefers UI5

After the last update i m starting to Like the ui5. I hope that they will improve the overview and let us change the skin. Maybe a new section in the app store, so to,compete with fibaro also in term of design GUI.

Apparently yes. ::slight_smile:

micasaverde is VERY expensive thing! They don’t charge a monthly fee, they get the money ahead of time! On top of that, this thing is very buggy, and so is the Iphone app!

Vera is inexpensive and yes UI5 is buggy, but getting better.

What app are you referring to? There are quite a few. And developed by 3rd party developers.

We have been asking about merten support in fibaro forum, but got no answer from fibaro.

The case of HC2 looks nice only on photo. In real it looks rather poor - a piece of aluminium pipe cut by a saw and glued epoxy glue. Amateurish
