Issues with controlling devices requiring Vera user authentication

Hi All,

I don’t know whether any of what I’ve found is a bug, and whether it is restricted to the Aeotec Garage Door controller (http://aeotec.com/z-wave-garage-door-controller) I have, or other devices too connected to my Vera Edge (1.7.2607).

When using the web interface (mobile), and connecting directly to the dashboard on my network’s internal IP, if I try to change the door state, then I get a transmit success message, but the device doesn’t change the state the door. If I force the need for a log on (i.e. try to delete an alert), then opening or closing the door works fine. I certainly understand the need to log on to change the state on an entry way, but shouldn’t Vera relay a message indicating I need to log on, and prompt for log on, rather than telling me there was a transmit success for the door state change, and nothing happen?

My second observation is in the mobile app (7.15.19.140 on Android), which logs on (I assume) when launching the app, for the same device, a request to change the door state will not be actions (even though a transmit success message is received), even when a forced log off and log on occurs (i.e. I can never open and close the door with the mobile app).

Is there anyone who can validate my observations and how then can they be reported?

TIA

Hello,

The best course of action will be to open up a trouble ticket by sending an email to support@getvera.com . Include all your findings in the email ; we will try to replicate the issue in our offices and then report it to our development team if needed.

Thank you.
