Issue with ecolink tilt sensor

I have a ecolink tilt sensor installed on my garage door. I was working fine, until the update of the latest UI7 firmware. After that, it frequently gets tripped although the garage door is actually closed…

Is that a known firmware issue? Any fix available? Every new UI7 updates introduce new issues more than they fixed the old ones. What are they doing…

Could be coincidental… lots of problems with these misfiring. i fixed mine by opening the unit and bending the sensor tube a bit. Has worked great since.

I have had the same issue. It seems to have settle down a bit now, but it is useless if it gives false alarms. I will wait and see I guess.

Mine started doing this when the battery was starting to get low.

It does make it less than useful as a security feature, because of the false triggers.

How long can the battery last? Mine is only 5 month old and it is always 100%, all my ecolink sensors are 100% battery, some of them are about 1 year and I’m thinking their battery report may have some issues.

I pulled mine from service (UI5) - it was not reliable enough. I added a wireless tilt sensor to my DSC alarm system instead, and it has been flawless…

Ever sense i bent the little tube, I’ve NEVER had a single false reading.
