Is there an easy way to unpair all devices at once?

I reverted from UI3 back to UI2 last weekend, and Vera was kind enough to remember all of my device associations, so I didn’t have to re-pair all of my devices. However, I’ve been noticing strange behavior all week - such as scenes not triggering, and Vera consistently reporting the wrong status for devices - so I think I need to re-pair all of my devices afterall. But before I can re-pair them, I have to unpair them, so…

Is there an easy way to unpair all of my devices at once? Or do I have to manually click the “permanently remove dead node” button for each device?

I think you can reset z-wave network in devices->z-wave->advanced z-wave. But since you still have to unpair each device form the chip before re-pairing them up I would first unpair everything then reset then re-pair everything. I think there is even a tiny reset button on the dongle like a paperclip size hole on it to do a hard reset once everything is unpaired. Hope some of that will help get it working if you haven’t already done it. I had the same issue when going back to UI2.

I switched from UI3 to UI2, but can’t get Vera to connect to the network. How did you do this? I have tried the reset button, but its not working for me

Firmware upgrades (or downgrades, or crossgrades) are really hit-or-miss. Sometimes they go perfectly. Other times, they are fraught with problems such as inability to connect to the network, inability to control devices, inability to connect via FindVera.com, etc.

In my case, I got lucky, and my upgrade from UI3 to UI2 went pretty well. I didn’t have to do anything special to get Vera to re-join my network. I wasn’t able to connect via FindVera.com anymore, but another upgrade (this time to 1.0.988) fixed that problem.

Maybe you should try the upgrade again. Perhaps it will go better the second time.

So what’s the best version of the UI2? Also do you have a link for it? When I searched I have found many of them, but not sure what one of the UI2 is the best one.

The latest official firmware versions are always posted in the Official Announcements forum. As of right now, the latest version of UI2 is 1.0.988. You can download it from this thread.

I’m currently running 1.0.988 on my Vera, and it’s working wonderfully. There were two other versions released last week (.985 and .987), but both of those had bugs, which is why they rushed out new versions so quickly.
