Is there an app that emulates an actual keypad for DSC ?

I am using a2usb to connect by 20p to my Vera lite. I use homewave to control the system since there was no control in the MCV app. Almost all of my HA usage goes through iOS apps (iPhone/iPad) rather than a PC.

I haven’t found an app that will let me run a virtual keypad yet. For example, something you could run on an iPad to actually replace an existing keypad. I don’t want to use homewave because you don’t have to enter a PIN to disarm the system.

It would also be nice to have the panic controls, which you also don’t get in homewave etc.

AlarmDecoder webapp does exactly that and more. Ability to use on any web browser including mobile/tablet/PC. With the mcv driver supporting ser2sock (according to mcv.andrei it is being worked on), it is possible to share the ad2 among multiple devices.

Forgive me, as this is probably a dumb question, but what exactly is this webapp? Is it something to download? I went on to the alarm decoder website and I became even more confused. Looks like just a lot of code, which is not my thing.

Is this (or will it be) an actual app or webpage that will allow me to interface with my ad2usb while it’s still connected to Vera?

Thanks
Dave

A webapp is an application that run in the browser. If you think of EVL3 and the are two options available, log in to the eyes-on website or create a direct link for your iPhone. Both of these launch a webapp rather then a client physically on your device.

GitHub - nutechsoftware/alarmdecoder-webapp: Web application for interfacing with the AlarmDecoder family of devices. - free open source software, in this instance you would have the vera connect to a computer running this and ser2sock (think raspberry pi) that has the ad2usb connected to it
