I’m using a linear dry contact switch for my garage opener. When added to HA hub, it thinks that it’s a light switch so when I say turn on all the lights, it open/close my garage. Any workaround for this?
There is a garage door plug-in that works great. The relay (light switch) you can then ignore.

Go into the advanced section of the device and scroll down to subcategory_num. You can put a 0 (zero) there and save. I had problems with some stuff not keeping the 0 so I use 4 instead. It will show up as a refrigerator in types.
