I’m experiencing some strange behavior with my vera unit. When I send a pan/tilt command to camera or a command to GC-100, it stops responding new commands and refreshing images (giving broken link) for a while (about 5-10 seconds). Is that “normal”? I’m running firmware version 1.0.988.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Have you changed anything recently? How long was it working without delay before this happened?
Thank you for your reply, shady. I’ve just installed this wifi panasonic camera and GC-100 and that was my first try with those equipments. Before, I was just using light switches and an IP camera without pan/tilt and I didn’t notice that behavior.
Anyone…?
Sorry for not responding. I may be wrong on his, so correct me if needed. But in my experience, the Z-Wave network can get screwed up a bit and I am not convinced that a Network Repair fixes things as much as a complete Reset and Re-Include of all the devices, (reset Vera while you’re at it, too).
If you have a lot of devices or complex scenes, then maybe use this as a last resort. I think about the analogy of reformating a PC or Mac to get fresh out of the box performance, there are techs that say they can clean an OS install up to be as fast, but experience says to reinstall to eliminate delays.
I’m doing that now, I’ll let you know if it helps.

I do see a 20 secs delay in response when using the UI3 firmware and findvera service. When I click on the icon to turn on the light, the GUI will just freeze for 20 secs and then change to ON. It’s not just the GUI that is delayed, the turning on of light also get delayed. I have posted this on the board sometime back and seems I am the only one seeing this delay.
Direct access using local IP did not have this problem. All command response almost instantaneously.
I prefer to use findvera service and stay with UI2 1.0.989. Everything works fine. I am using VERA 2 box.

Thanks again for the reply, but my problem is not related to zwave. My problem is with GC-100 and Panasonic web camera. When I send any command (pan/tilt to the camera or IR to GC-100), I get a “service not available” page or “device busy” (or something like that) message for a while after the command is issued.
