Can I take the backup from my VL that’s on UI7 and restore on it on a Vera 3 with Ui5 and maintain my configuration?

Nope. Can not restore a ui7 backup to a ui5.

That’s what I thought but on the other hand, I believe it is possible to restore from UI7 to UI5 on the same unit?

I just upgraded my V3 to match my VL firmware, restored confirmed all working then did a backup on the Vera 3. I’m downgrading the Vera 3 to UI5 as we speak then restore using the Vera 3 file.

Successfully migrate devices from VL UI7 to V3 UI5 using the steps above.

Yup matching firmware first did the trick.
