iPhone 5s

I’m getting crazy over this, but my iPad Air, my iPad 2 and the wifeys iPhone 6 work fine. My iPhone 5s however logs me out several times a day, and it bothers me a lot. EVERY setting is the same. I do however see that the message service isn’t working properly at all times and I’m thinking it relates to my problem. Before VeraMate included push messages I used Prowl and it works great. 50 % of the time I don’t get the Vera messages, until I open the app and realize I once again have to login.

Anyone else with this kind of problem? I haven’t heard form the support in a few weeks now.

I’ve been tearing my hair out on this one too :confused: I’ve still got your emails, but will have to admit I’m at a loss on this. So far you’re the only user who still has this problem, so if there are any others I’d be very interested to know too.

I had an (unlikely) thought, that perhaps your iCloud isn’t setup correctly. Could you check your user is setup properly under apples settings for iCloud and iTunes & App Store? Your ID should be setup correctly there.

It’s only on this phone. My iPads, old 4s the wife’s old 4s, 6 they all work great.
Sometimes it can work a day or two and some days I need to re-login several times.
The iCloud is fine and I use the iCloud app works well.

I finally narrowed down what the problem was actually - bit hard to say for sure as I’ve only heard 3 users with this problem, but I’m fairly certain with the latest changes this couldn’t happen any more. Looks like some of the previous VeraMate upgrades somehow didn’t clear out older encrypted credentials properly, preventing them from being stored correctly.

8.5 was just released onto the store today, so give it a go and let me know !

I’ve been having the same issues on my iPhone 6 (and before that on my 5s). Still happening on the latest version. Even if I manually kill the app, I have to login again. Any info from me that would help, let me know. :slight_smile:

I’m glad you found something cuz this has driven me crazy. Today’s been the worst day for quite a long time. 10 times or so…

In all this the alerts are also eased up. Sometimes
I get them
And sometime I dont. Sometimes I see the icon that there is an alert but when I click I can see any.

… sorry are you saying it’s still happening on version 8.5 ? I had thought the problem was the encrypted credentials being stored incorrectly after an older upgrade, but 8.5 should catch that error. This means there must be another error I don’t know about yet :confused: Can you confirm you still have the issue on 8.5, if so I’ll go back to the drawing board :frowning:

I confirm! I uninstalled the app yesterday, tried a windows solution (reboot) and installed the app again, last night. It didn’t last 12 hours before I was logged out again.

Bother. Ok sorry, still not quite sure what’s happening here then. Could you send me a diagnostic again after it logs you out?

** Sorry to ask - this has worked on the only other phone I’ve seen this happen with messed up credentials. I might be able to see more in the diagnostic of what’s happening specifically on your phone this time…
