Please note VeraMate 8 currently doesn’t work with iOS6, please refrain from upgrading if possible.
The development environment for VeraMate has all been upgraded to the latest software, where Apple currently don’t support iOS6. Even though iOS6 users are a very small percentage of users, I don’t want to leave you in the cold, and will be trying to find out what is needed to be done.
Please bare with me.
Update: currently it appears there is simply no way to support iOS6 on the latest OSX (Yosemite), meaning I need to do a complete restore of the system and downgrade to the previous OS to develop. I am loathe to do this for multiple reasons, not least being the amount of time to backup (of my backup) fastidiously so there is no chance I will loose anything.
Additionally, I was hoping to get all iOS6 users a BETA copy using the new much increased limit Apple have put in place… but that’s only available for iOS8…
Apple don’t make things easy. Therefore, I will have to use the couple of users who have volunteered to test a BETA copy which may not work the first time, but with perseverance we’ll get it going. I’ll get as many iOS6 users effected a BETA copy, but due to limitations Apple put in place, this will be limited.
Please PM/email VeraMate support if you are an iOS6 user (only) and would be willing to assist testing a BETA, or would like a copy as soon as it’s available rather then waiting for it to be approved by apple (which could take 2 - 3 weeks).
Update: VeraMate 8.1 has been released which should reenable support for iOS6. Please let me know if you have other problems.
