Intermitant Timer Operation

I just don’t get it, the timers work fine for about a week and then Vera goes haywire. I have to restore a previous backup and it works for another 5-7 days and it craps out again. I put in a trouble ticket two weeks ago.
I like the Iphone application buts this thing is useless as an energy management device. Is there another Zwave device other than using a computer to do timer functions?

Hi
I have been using a timer “30 minutes after sunset turn light on to 50%” for about a month on my second home with no problem. The only thing that does happen sometime I will get several notifications that the light was turned on both via sms and email.

Yeah, I also need to weigh in and state that all of my timer-events have been working perfectly for many months. I have two different timer events - one for when my weekend home is occupied, and the other when it’s not - that turn on lights 15 mins before sunset, and then another timer event that turns several lights off and on around 11pm to simulate “bedtime” when I’m not there.

They all work consistently - I’ve logged on to Findvera on several occasions at different times to verify that the proper lights are in the proper state.

So sounds like you may have some specific issues occurring, rather than a general timer-related malfunction.

I have a number of timer scenes and all worked fine for months with 979. Moved to 988 and have had a few failures, but generally the timers all work. I would try going to 979 for most reliable UI2 firmware.

I can click go on the scene and it works. Not sure if 979 works with SQ remote
Currently running version 989

979 will not work with SQ Remote, you need at least 988.
