Intermatic CA3000 requires circuit breaker reset to work

I have a few CA3000s installed in my house that by in large work fairly well, including several in three way setups.

However, I have one in my bedroom that just stopped working for the third time. In the past I have been able to get it to work again (for another month or so) by killing the power to circuit that it is on briefly at the breaker panel. Just to be clear, when I say not working I mean even when physically pressed.

It is the overhead light / fan for my master bedroom, and obviously this hasn’t made me popular with my wife especially when it failed when I was out of town. I’m planning on replacing it today with a new one (and it is happens again, maybe with a Leviton!).

Has anyone else had this problem? At this point I think it is probably faulty hardware.

yep, i have a bunch of these. i had 2 or 3 and bought a six lot last spring. i currently have 7 installed. every one of them has at one point stopped working. the led blinks blue and red but the manual switch works. i usually have to include again.

i currently have one that is totally dead, no led, and the switch does not click. the load is hot (fan has power).

I would not buy this model again.
