Integration with ZM1702 Door Lock

Hello all,

I have just ordered a ZM1702 lock to install to a storage/server room in my house where I have also installed some visonic sensors as a separate partition of my PowerMax Pro installation. I have a separate code with a separate user for operating that partition.
I was wandering if there is a way to integrate the lock with that partition. Meaning arm it when I lock the ZM1702 and disarm it when I unlock it. I want to do this so that I avoid going to the control panel before going to the room, as they are at separate floors.

I don’t see why not. Assuming that your alarm panel follows the standard interface for partitions then you can make a scene that arms or disarms it. Here is one post explaining it: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,6916.msg112775.html#msg112775

Here is the issue… I do not have a separate partition device for some reason. I can still use the main partition with the designated user code for partition 3 to arm/disarm the separate partition, but no separate device. Have I done something wrong, or is it not supported for PowerMax Pro? But in any case, if I can provide the pin code during the scene creation I can still use partition 1 for the scene.

That’s beyond my knowledge, sorry. Adhering to the de facto standard for alarm systems in Vera is up to the developer of the plugin.

I have created the scenes successfully and they are working just fine using partition 1 and the designated user code for partition 3. But I was curious to know why I do not have the second partition as a device in Vera. I hope nlrb can help me on that.
