Integration with iRule?

Hi. I’m an irule user for my home. Right now I have a scene for arm and disarm made so I can use them in irule. They have a module for the vera for lighting and temp but not security at this time. So for now I use the arm disarm scene. Works fine but I get not status. Meaning the light to show status is always blue. Knew like it is in the vera lite app. I was wonder g if here is a way to get status updates when controlling the panel in irule. I hope that makes sense.

I can embed the evl3 webpage for control but really just wanted a sime are disarm button so it doesn’t take up much space

I know it’s cheap, but consider getting one of those virtual light switch plugins. Have scenes turn the light on whenever the system is armed, and off whenever the system is disarmed. Then in iRule, simply add that ‘light’ and call it something like “Armed state”. You could still toggle it, which would break the point of it, but if you put it somewhere in your iRule handsets where you aren’t going to touch by accident, it ought to work as you intend. This ‘solution’ if you could call it that is not tested, but I’m pretty sure those virtual device plugins are supposed to behave like conventional Z-Wave lights.
