Integrate Vera with Perceptive Automation Indigo

Hi all,

Today we’re excited to announce the availability of our MiCasaVerde Vera plugin, allowing you to integrate the world of Z-Wave products directly with Perceptive Automation’s Indigo Mac-based home automation software (http://www.perceptiveautomation.com)

What’s the plugin for?
The plugin allows you to control Z-Wave dimmers, relays, security sensors etc via the MiCasaVerde Vera Z-Wave gateway directly with Indigo. Full details on our website at http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/vera

What hardware is required?
The plugin will work with the Vera 2, Vera 3 or Vera Lite gateways, as long as they’re running the latest UI5 firmware from MiCasaVerde. Full details here http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/supported-vera-hardware/. Release History
1.2.5
Initial release

I am not a mac user, still sounds interesting, but $49.99?!

You also need to own their software which is $179.95 as well. And I guess have a mac running all the time? Nice UI though…

It seems the website is down that hosts the plugin:
http://www.homeautomationplugins.com/vera
returns an error.

Please can someone at MiCasa Verde investigate, or alternatively provide an updated link to the plugin?

The author of the plugin isn’t associated with MiCasaVerde.

It looks like it is no longer supported but it is available here:

1 > its Apple… not good
2 > charging over 200 bucks… not good
3 > author ran away with money and left users without support and money > totally wrong
4 > its old topic > not good
5 > like apple looks nice on outside but is totally unusable for the expert > sucks

OK Da_JoJo,
I’ll bite, assume you are not “trolling”…

1 > its Apple… not good
What is Apple in this discussion? MiCasa Verde Vera is independent kit with its own OS, the plugin is coded by an independent party, and serves to interface MiCasa kit to Perceptive Automation software, so where exactly does Apple figure in your understanding?
2 > charging over 200 bucks… not good.
$200 for what? The plugin author (not associated with Apple, Perceptive Automation or MiCasa Verde) used to charge $49 for the plug in, but it is now free (but unsupported).
3 > author ran away with money and left users without support and money > totally wrong.
Agree - very bad form. At best, the author should open source everything, including user documentation…
4 > its old topic > not good
It’s the original topic announcing the plugin’s availability, so perhaps not a bad place to post that the plugin has since become unavailable.
5 > like apple looks nice on outside but is totally unusable for the expert > sucks
Can’t dignify this with a response.

do you actually read or is it just the apple thingy ? here is why i hate apple.. ppl thinking they invented it all and are on a hilltop and tell you they are the only one that can use it , if you have their approval.

so should apple.. if i see this apple i run away too and get totally freaked out. i had one friend with an apple and he also ran away by lack of good arguments, just defending shit that aint worth the too much money it cost.

well screw the thing open and have a look at the cheap-ass hardware which is in there. apple is like : we made you the best notebook you can find. it uses backlight on the keys which irritates the eyes and takes battery-power for no use. it also lacks now the so wanted IEEE firewire 800 (o wait .. they never heard of that.. prolly coz other have patent on it) which half the world of audio-engineers and DJ use for there nice equipment. we used the best abs plastic to give you that metal look. instead of putting a nice videocard in it u pay the top price for a onboard intel gma3000.. not even a 3500 or a 4000 ... shame shame really. and it runs on unix rip-off called os-x. ah well let me stop about this as you see it pisses me off a lot :-p
