Hi There,
I am interested in controlling some older Insteon/X10 devices.

I am trying to decide what controller to get, either the 2412S (discontinued) or the 2413S.

I would like to go with a serial version, as I may be using this for tinkering with Arduino projects from time to time.

Anyone have experience with either of these devices and can provide feedback?

I did see the 2412S was on the wiki page, but it is discontinued and may be hard to get.

It shouldn’t matter much. Both will do what you want. The 2413S probably has more updated software and bug fixes.

If you are going to do any serious development, I would recommend getting the developer kit. It comes with the serial interface version of the PLM and gives you access to the most current documentation. You can find a lot of the documentation out on the net, but it is generally older versions.
