installing a kwikset lock w/o keypad

has anyone successfully installed a kwikset 910 using a differ exterior face w/o a keypad? I am ultimately looking to use an app or keyfob to unlock the door while having it appear stock from the outside.

In looking at the install sheet, Iam unsure if the lock will work properly w/o the keypad faceplate plugged into the back plate.

yes I currently have a Kwikset zwave deadbolt lock installed on my front door. I used the outer keypad to set up the unit, then removed it and used my traditional (key only) outer lock with the zwave inner motor/latch.

Works great. I was never a fan of keypad entrances, so I was reluctant to install one. I now have the best of both worlds. Key if all else fails, and zwave control from my BlackBerry :slight_smile:
