Inexpensive switches?

My old go-to was an ebay store that sold Intermatic switches in $100/6 packs. Did something happen with that seller? Because I can’t even find them on ebay now. Did they sell out of their stock?

Either way, is there any similarly priced source out there? I want to finish setting up my home, but I can’t possibly do it with Leviton or even GE switches at current prices (though GE switches seem to have gotten cheaper recently). Getting six Intermatic switches for $100 was a huge deal. I knew the stock was limited, but was hoping they’d still have some available.

Anyway, what’s the current deal?

You probably got them from Automated Outlet? They were clearing out old stock, so the deal was bound to end at some point.

I picked up the 6-pack of the CA3000s a while ago, and absolutely hate them. I will be selling them soon.

GE switches from Lowes are $35, so they are a bit over twice the price of the Intermatic deals.

Yeah, that’s what I figured. I should have bought more at the time.

Unfortunately those Lowe’s switches aren’t the same thing because they aren’t dimmers. They’re only on and off AND they’re twice as much.

There really needs to be less expensive switches. The least expensive switch is a GE model at Amazon for around $45.

Not much cheaper than Amazon but I was at Lowes yesterday and they definitely have dimmer switches for $39. 10% off coupons are fairly easy to come by for Lowes making them around $35.

Thanks, I’ll look for those. When I last looked at Lowes, they had maybe one dimmer and a ton of on/off, so it seems that’s what they’re pushing.

I’ll look there when I build up enough funds for another round of switches.

I just got a 6 pack from the Bay $109 shipped.

Thanks dferrey, but unfortunately those are outlets, not dimmer switches…

Geez. I’m sorry about that. Good luck.

The AutomatedOutlet sales still show up from time to time for the CA600. There’s 4 left on this sale. Anyone who buys these should understand the unique wiring requirements. In some circumstances it’s easier, and other times harder, compared to other Z-wave switches.
