It certainly is possible. Does UI5 only let you increase by 10% from the dashboard? On UI4 you had more control over lights than that. I don’t use the dashboard much for controlling things like lights so I don’t know. But the answer to your question is a resounding Yes! Have you seen the wakeupramp plugin? It increases light by 1% increments.
As far as I can tell, UI5 only allows for 10% changes in the dim level, which is very frustrating. I use Authomation for control from my phone, and that lets me set 1% increments, which is great. I have no idea how to do this in the dashboard. You say you don’t use the dashboard, then what do you use?
I’ve looked at that WakeupRamp, and I can see using that for some things, but it seems like more trouble than it’s worth for me. I just want a simple scene that turns devices to a set dim level that isn’t 10/20/30/etc…

Also, I have no idea how to set up WakeupRamp. It’s a little confusing to me…
It’s the slider control on the device that is limited to 10% steps. You can set any value between 0 and 100% with a scene by using the device’s SetLoadLevelTarget action on the Advanced tab.
This is really what I was looking for. I don’t need a ramp for most of what I do, and the WakeupRamp would make this pretty cumbersome. Plus, it doesn’t look like you can set different goals for various light fixtures, so I think I’ll stick with the delays that already exist in scene creation to slowly ramp up lights if I want to.
Typically, what I do is set the slider to some value, so the action is auto-populated on the [tt]Advanced[/tt] tab. Then overwrite the value there with what I need it to be.
Just wanted to let y’all know that this recent forum thread gave me the answer that I was looking for too. I found it by searching for “10%”.
I have a Home Theater room and want to dim all of the surrounding lights (on eight separate circuits) so that they’re just BARELY on. In fact this was the original motivation for spending a bunch of money on a Vera system and 30+ controlled units: so that I could set up a scene to dim the lights. I was tired of walking around and manually dimming the theater room circuits the old-fashioned way with the original slider dimmers.
It’s impressive how low you can dim with the GE/JASCO 45612’s. They supply just a subtle glow for “ambience” in the theater room, without distracting from the big screen. I was originally disappointed that I could only get them down to 10% using my MCV3 Scene slider – when I knew that the switches were certainly capable of dimming lower manually. (Oh, and I found that the Vera Mobile application sliders let you slide down into single digits too.)
Overriding the SetLoadLevel setting on the Scene’s advanced tab does the trick. I now have three of them set to “1”, two at “2”, and three more in the rear at “5” level. Perfect.
