Nice price, but how does it integrate with Vera (does it?)?
There is no direct integration with Vera other than you can control devices that are on the Vera by including the VRC0P into the Vera as a Controller.
ah ok, thanks for the clarification!
Anyone have any examples of this set up for use with Vera(photos of screens) as well as installed in a 2 gang wall box?
Here are some screenshots of the interfaces.
The only issue I see is that VRC0P does not support the security class.
Found this manual for the Easy Touch for those who may be interested:

Correct about the lock class. This unit makes a nice table top controller. I use it on the end table next to the couch for movie time etc. Also, if anyone has questions about what is in the manual, ask away, I wrote it.
So this does pair up and work pretty well with the Vera?
Going to order one if so.
Can you customize the images on the screen… Like the unit, but would want to skin it differently…

The screen itself is not Z-Wave. You would have to have/purchase a Leviton VRC0P Z-Wave to Serial bridge and add it into the Vera as a controller. 1-Way will work out of the box, if you want the 2-way to work, you would have to setup associations between the devices you are controlling and the the VRC0P. Most devices support up to 5 associations (Vera is 1, and so on) however there are some (like the Kwikset locks) that can only be associated to 1.
It will talk to the devices directly via the VRC0P and does not interact with ther Vera (other than setting associations).
You can customize what images are on the screen but functionality is not customizable.
The problem with this system is that each touch screen needs to be wired to a VRCOP which is $99 so this set-up is $200+ per touch screen and it has to be wired for the screen and VRCOP. Seems a tad bit expense when I can buy a Itouch for about the same and it’s wireless.
Has anyone (experienced) played around with the new leviton vizia emulator beta plugin on the mios marketplace? I wonder if that could be used in lieu of the vrc0p. That would make this a very reasonably priced controller.
How do you use the vcorp to create device associations with the IES screen? Finally found the PC based software to communicate with the controller but don’t understand how to create the associations for devices with Vera.
Have added the vcorp as RS232 interface but stuck after that.
Help??? newb…!
If you ordered the screen from us, you should have received an email with all the software to upate the screens and add the nodes, etc. If you did not, please let me know and I will get you the correct versions. Are you using this with a Vera? Do you have a Leviton handheld in the system? After those are answered, I can walk you through the steps.
Barry,
I am interested in one of these, but only for z-wave and in-wall installation.
I see the z-wave adaptor IESETZWACCKIT is needed, but does this mean then that TWO plug-in modules are required to power it (one power, one z-wave), or does the z-wave adaptor also power the unit?
Thanks.
It does take up a full duplex outlet however you only need to get a Cat-5(e) to the screen. The way I laid out the in-wall instructions in the manual was to use a 2-gang mud-ring for the screen and run the Cat-5(e) down the studbay to a single gang mud-ring with a 1-port plate and then use a patch cord to the Power/Serial injector. The screen can be up to 250’ from the injector.
Just an FYI, this screen really works best with Leviton devices b/c they are two way communication with the RS232.
As Barry mentioned before, it doesn’t talk to the Vera.
Works fine to control other z-wave devices, easy programming once you are into it, can set scenes etc, but there is no device feedback from the other brands (GE, etc). Well, other than the light turns on/off/dims hopefully! Works well with the Trane thermostat.
Wish i could change the programming a bit to tweak the order of the user interaction screens. Want to move the lighting load screens within a room in front of a bunch of scene buttons I can’t take full advantage of or delete!
Makes a nice table top or entry controller otherwise, just not quite what I had envisioned. My fault for missing the bit about being Leviton biased.
