I’ve bought 6 of the RadBeacon and I’m starting to look around on how to build and work with Ibeacons zone.
After few test/error, I came to the conclusion that the best way to organise what I’d like to do would be to have one Multi Switch in vera with different zone that I could turn on and off via Veramate and have a PLEG logic that would manage all the actions to be done if one or another of the Multi switch has been turned on.
At first, to do my tests, I worked with the app Beecon which can send URL request so it was easy to turn on a multi switch and the app was quite responsive, the only problem, the OFF sequence was only sent when the Beecon was completely out of range, not when it was getting far, leaving me no choices to look for another solution.
I came across Veramate but here the issue is that Veramate does not have the possibility to turn On/Off multi switch, only specific switch and scenes. Unfortunatly, since I’m trying to run the less devices on my Vera for memory reason, I do not wan’t to create multiple single virtual devices.
My question now, is there anyway that Veramate can be modified to be able to turn on/off switches when approching an Ibeacon on a Multi Switch or does anyone have an alternative solution ?
