I hope this is UI5

Search youtube: Fibaro - Scena wyjsca z domu

Makes me wonder if we are all beta testers for Fibaro…

here’s what i found as the UI5 on youtube from cedia CEDIA EXPO 2011 - MiOS UI5 - YouTube
there are a few links throught the forum that show an altogether different UI5

fibaro is actually a different system Wireless Smart Home and Home Automation | FIBARO

If you watch the youtube videos from “FibaroCom” its the same UI as the one seen on at cedia, well almost.

Its the same enclosure, you can see it on there site, if you watch the videos its the same OS but quite a bit more polished.

I even downloaded the “Fibaro” app from itunes and I can enter my vera’s IP address in the phones setting and log on and control lights and scenes, but no T-stat.

The youtube video in the first post is what UI5 will look like with minor changes. MCV is an OEM Company. They have many Companies that use their products for resale. I would not doubt that FibaroCom is one of those companies.

Well that explains it. Thanks for the info

I wish I could flash the firmware Fibaro is putting out because the iphone app is very nice and the UI is pleasing to the eye.

They have a demo site up:

OK now I am hoping too that this is the new UI5 which will probably be released on 9th December.

The good thing about it: It can’t be any worth than UI4. :stuck_out_tongue:

And I hope the person responsible for choosing UI colors at MicasaVerde has been let go before UI5 was made…

This is not UI5. The Fibaro interface is most likely a design on top of MCV’s software. The UI5 interface is what you find in the youtube video posted in the link a few posts up.

So basically the same functions but completely ugly.

I already figured out how to get the Smart Phone interface to load all files from a local USB Stick and adjusted it to my wishes. Going to have to do the same thing with that interface, I don’t like windows 95 styled UI’s.

But let’s give it a chance, as said already, it must be better then UI4 8) can’t wait to get it…

Actually, I do not really care what it looks like, as long as it is usable. For me, the UI is an administrative screen that I only access when I make changes to device settings, scenarios or Vera itself.

I like the idea of a dashboard, but dashboards should be about managing your home, not managing the devices or scenarios. What that means:

 • ability to have multiple dashboards (one per room for example)
 • ability to control which devices appear on the dashboard.
 • devices on the dashboard are locked, e.g. you can turn a light on or off there, but not acces the device configuration.

These dashboards should be exposed by a unique URL, so that you can share these URLs with your family without having to worry about them messing up the settings.
- ability to have multiple dashboards (one per room for example)
Excellent idea. This could be configured with a sort of “Room / favorites” feature.
