I don't see devices on slaved vera lite

Good day!,

I have a question about the setup I have at home, first a brief overview:

Vera 3 is installed in my house with some devices.
Vera lite is installed outside (100 meters away from the house) and slaved to the vera 3. with some devices.

This setups works good, I can activate the devices which are setup on the vera lite via the vera 3. The devices on the vera lite are shown on the vera 3.
But vice versa, it doesn’t show. when I logon the vera lite, I don’t see any devices which are setup from the vera 3.

The reason why i ask is , i have an aon mini labs remote and i want to operate it via the network on the vera lite , but I also want to operate some lights which are setup on the vera 3.

In short:
I press a button on the aon minilab remote, this will activate a scene which i have setup on the vera lite.

But the scenes I can programm on the vera lite , only shows devices from the vera lite and not from the “master” vera 3…

Did I do something wrong or can you not controll devices from the “master” on the “slave”"

many thanks,
Cor

Hi Cor

Actually the bridging of Veras does not really lead to a master/slave relationship, it’s more of a peer-to-peer arrangement, but it is not automatically bi-directional. The solution is to bridge to the “master” from the “slave” as well, and then you can see (and control) all of the devices.

One ‘gotcha’ is that in doing this you don’t import scenes from one Vera to the other, so although a scene definition on one machine can control the linked devices on the other, you’d have to duplicate that scene on the second Vera in order to have a truly reciprocal arrangement.

Good luck.

AKB (with two VeraLites, 30m apart).
