I can't get started

I am able to connect to vera2 via eth1 or eth2
When I try to add a device, I am getting a message “I don’t see any new devices added”

I am trying to add small ppliance modules Wayne Dalton by home settings
Model HA-02WD

I have 3 modules and none are working - cannot be added.

Perhaps I need some simple and basic step by step directions.

Bring the devices first near to your Vera, and then try to exclude them through the add/remove devices, then click Next (Zwave) and then scroll the pop up window to the bottom, select exclude from the dropdown, then go… you’ll then have 30 seconds (unless you changed this) to press the button on HA-02WDs (they must obviously be plugged in and powered up to do this).

Once you have done this then move them back to where you want them to permanently live, then try to include through this same menu using the “full power” include option.

I find it helps to use a laptop for the above so that you can monitor the status window for any messages.

Here is my original problem:

Purchased vera2
Added 2 devices
Deleted 2 devices
Went online and was forced to do an upgrade/firmware to version 1.1.992

Now I cannot add or exclude anything.

Something is wrong as 1.1.992 is an old version, you should have something like 1.1.1350 / 1.1.1362.

I think you should try to update again by visiting MiOS
