Has anyone got any experience of the hue tap button ?. I wonder if this could be used somehow to trigger scenes in Vera. As it takes no battery it might be ideal for music control in a bathroom etc. nice looking device hence wondered if anyone had join the two together.
I don’t see how it could work except via the Hue plugin (which I doubt very much if it supports the tap), since vera does not support zigbee.
We’ve been begging Philips to allow presses of the Hue tap to trigger an HTTP call from the Hue bridge to another device on the LAN, rather than just back to localhost (the bridge). It would fit your proposed scenario perfectly. So far Philips hasn’t enabled this, so taps are useful only to control stuff paired to the Hue bridge.
