Hue hub/plugin and GE-Link bulbs (getting hot)

I tried last night to pair 2 GE-Link E19 bulbs to my Philips Hue hub (Which is controlled by the Hue plugin. (1 at a time)
They blinked a few times when doing an Auto search via the Hue app but were never found. Has anybody been able to pair these?

Also, I am noticing the base of these GE-Link bulbs gets piping hot after a little while. Is this normal for these? I’m apprehensive of using them at all due to this.

I can’t speak to the GE bulbs but I have many Hue bulbs (Lux, Hue etc.) and they stay pretty cool to the touch. I had some earlier Home Depot type LED bulbs and those got really hot at the base, I’ve since re-purposed them to family members.

My 2 Hue blooms stay cool as well. As do my ‘normal’ LED bulbs. Which is why these GE ink ones have me worried as the base gets almost to hot to touch.
