HSM200 Motion Sensor sends an alert each time motion is detected or ends

With the latest UI7 firmware the HSM200 motion sensor now works -yeah! The only problem is that it sends an alert (device changed state) everytime motion is detected, or the timeout value (with no motion) expires – Boo!

That is super annoying. Do other motion detectors do that? Is there anyway to disable the alerts coming from this device? Or it is just a bug that MCV needs to fix.

There doesn’t appear to be any configuration changes I can do to get it to stop (I atleast modified my modes so that the sensor is not armed in away mode, otherwise I also get a text everytime it changes state… lovely!)

Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but I’m having the same issue… I didn’t ever set up any notifications for my motion sensor, but it will send me email notifications any time that it is armed and detects motion. This is with a fibaro motion sensor and vera edge UI7 latest as of 6/4/2015

I have been working with support on it. But I think they are only intending to fix the problem where it logs an Alert everytime the state changes (which is a unique bug to the HSM200 aka EZMultiPli).

The getting an email notification on armed for a motion sensor I think is the standard behavior for most motion sensors is my understanding. Go into your Modes UI and adjust it, if you don’t need to arm the motion sensor don’t (it still works as a motion sensor whether it is armed or not) or turn off notifications.

@shallowearth

Did this ever get fixed with the latest UI?

Z

It is fixed in the Beta frimware, currently. No more state changed messages on the dashboard if the sensor is disarmed.

@shallowarth

Thanks… That’s good to know
