How to use Aeon 4-in-1 (with UI7)?

I’ve just added an Aeon 4-in-1 motion/temp/humidity/light sensor to my network. I paired it with my VeraLite using the button-press method. It shows up in my Vera control panel as several devices… but none of them are showing any data. I see:

“_Light Sensor lux”
“Humidity Sensor %”
“4 in 1 sensor [_x]ARMED”
“4-in-1 Temperature ?”

(That last one reads that way because I renamed that device.) So, names and units, but no values whatsoever. I’ve tried poking around in the settings, but can’t find anyplace that shows the actual readings from the sensor. What do I need to do to get those?

Also, how do I use the motion sensor? I see that I can switch it between “ARMED” and “DISARMED.” So… now what? How do I tell whether it’s detecting motion, or use that to turn the lights on?

Sorry for the newbie questions. I did try googling for answers, but this page looks completely different (UI5?), and other pages I found were equally unhelpful. But perhaps my google-fu is weak.

You may need to be a bit more patient, after the sensor is fully configured, the vera will start polling it for values. Just wait it out.

OK, you’re right, now that it’s the next day I see values. So, that’s one question down!

Now, how do I actually use this to trigger a scene or turn on lights or something? I expected this would be a straightforward operation ? a motion sensor is pretty useless unless it can trigger something. Yet I don’t see how to do it.

No doubt this is because I haven’t found the secret manual that explains how to actually use Vera… if somebody wants to point me to that (assuming it exists), I would be more than happy to read it!

Glad you got it working.

The sensor can now be used as a trigger in a scene. Just go to the scene section of the vera and create a new scene and use “devices” as a trigger. you can set what sensor and what the trigger level is etc…
It seems pretty intuitive and self explanatory to me so I never had to go through any manual.

Thanks, I didn’t think to look in Scenes. That makes more sense now.

I am having issues with my Aeon 4-in-1 with UI7 as well. I had it working fine under UI5. I am doing a remodel of my house, had to disconnect everything, upgraded my VeraLite to UI7 and tried to get things working again, but am not able to.
I unpaired/deleted the sensor, put it back but if I create a scene with “trigger if motion sensor armed and motion is detected”, it will trigger when I arm the sensor and then never afterward.
How do I get it configured correctly?

I have a 4 in 1 setup and its reading the temperature. I created a scene to turn on an appliance module when the temperature excess 72 degrees. However this scene doesn’t seem to run ever and the temperature is 75 degrees. It i run the scene manually, the module turns on.

What gives?
