How to upgrade from UI5 to UI7?

I’m trying to add a yale z-wave lock, but failing at “getting secure sources”. So figured I’d try upgrading my vera lite from UI5 to UI7 to see if that fixes it.

however, I can’t figure out how to actually do the upgrade. Googling comes up with RC1 (which I believe is very out of date).

If I go to Setup > Firmware

it shows

You are running the latest version: 1.5.622 .

So can’t see how to upgrade there… so err what exactly do I do to upgrade?

Put this in the box on the firmware page. (NOT the OPENWRT one)

thanks, seems to upgraded fine.

Just an FYI, make sure all of your plugins are still working after the upgrade. Some of them behave differently/use different files for UI5 and UI7.

thanks, the only plugin I’m really using is BlueIris cameras, which appear to stopped working (I read some comments about this in the forum prior to upgrading).

I use openHAB for all my logic, and the vera lite just as the z-wave controller, so plugins werent really an issue for me. BlueIris I can work around as I only use that so I can use my cameras in the ImperiHome android app, which I can point to blueiris directly if needed

BlueIris app works just fine in ui7 as I was using it for some time. But like you also mentioned pointing ImperiHome straight to the Blueiris server is a much better idea. Vera doesn’t like high res images.

Thanks, Ill relook at the blueiris plugin tonight. Easier than exposing more open ports on my router.

You don’t have to expose any more open ports on your router unless you don’t use blueiris app or look at blueiris remotely now. Imperihome connects to your blueiris server threw one connection or port same as the blueiris app on a mobile device. You don’t need to open a port for each camera. User and login for blueiris is used.

This is what I’m currently useing in Imperihome

http://IPADDRESS:PORT/mjpg/CAMERASHORTNAME/video.mjpg

http://IPADDRESS:PORT/image/CAMERASHORTNAME?q=50&s=100

Q= quality
S= size

You can play with either to speed up load time of stills. Picture is much better then going threw VERA.

thanks, I meant opening a single port for BlueIris itself.

OK, lol
