I Just installed a Fibaro FGS213. This device is actually a switch, but i’m using it to drive a cieling light. I should like to see it as a light and not as a switch.
Is it possibile to tweak some setting in order to acieve that?

Yes. Go into the “Params” tab for the device and look at “category_num” and “subcategory_num.” Please let us know what values are in each field and we’ll go from there.

Interesting. On my system, that shows in the interface as a light bulb. Please change the subcatergory to 1 and see what happens. If you haven’t done that before, edit the field then click somewhere else in the interface. You should see a message that the property has been changed.
Changing the subcategory changes the icon in the web gui.
Actually, subcategory = 0 show a bulb icon (but the switch does not show in the “All lights” group in the dashboard, and is listed in the “On/Off Switch” dvice view by type), changing it to 1 shows a plug switch icon.

It look like there is only a category for Dimmable Light, but event setting category to 2, I do not get it into the right group.

Don’t mess around with changing all the parameters! Just use VeraMate as your App and you can use any icon or description that you want. Plus you can hide any devices you don’t want to see.
Hands down, VeraMate is the best way to use your Vera system for daily use. I only keep the Vera App around just in case. I might use it 1% of the time.
