How to Include vera into an existing network with a primary remote control?

Hi all, I have a question for you: my network is preconfigured with a remote control like the minimote from Aeon Labs or Another controller like mk remote. Now i want to add the vera controller into my network without destroying the inclusions and the associations already done. The question is how to include the vera with the remote because I am not able to find and start the procedure correctly.

I found how to include the primary remote, but it seems that someting is going wrong, because I am not able to include it.

I tried also with the replication on the remote without success. Already reset zwave module.

Both vera and remote are EU.

How could I set the vera in learn mode? My remote sends the transfer presentation.
thankyou, Marco

Before we get too far into this…

 1. Since you mention your vera and remote are EU, are you located in the EU?
 2. Is your current ZWaves equipment EU or US? The operating frequency is different and there may be compatibility issues.
 3. Why do you want to have Vera as a secondary controller? Vera is very well capable of handling a wide variety of remote controls as secondaries.

Vera2 (1.1.1350, UI4); ACT ZRW113W; GE/Jasco 45600, 45602, 45604, 45605 x3, 45606 x4, 45609 x11, 45614; Hawking HRDS1 x3; Intermatic CA9000 x2; Schlage BE369GR, WCE100; Trane TZEMT400AB32MAA

I am from Italy and all my devices are eu, the Vera is eu too and all the stuff without the vera is working into a network that I can’t destroy. This is because I want to use the remote I have to set up associations and include other devices without modify existing topology.
my problem now is how to include the Vera in my network, like a normal inclusion of a controller.

Then I know that the remote asks for a suc sis and then the primary can be the Vera because is a controller mains powered and not battery. Then my remote became a normal inclusion controller that asks to the suc sis node Id and so on.

So, my question is how to include the Vera in an existing system, because I am not able to do this. there is a way to enter in “learn mode” ? I tried more and more with inclusion and replication in the remote submenu, but nothing happens…

Thank you very much for patience, Marco

There is an option in UI4 named [tt]Copy Z-Wave network from a master controller[/tt].
On UI5 it’s [tt]Devices[/tt] > [tt]Add Devices[/tt] > [tt]Advanced Z-Wave devices[/tt] > [tt]Add MiOS to another Z-Wave network[/tt].

Thank you, but there is someting wrong because still not working. I tried also with another vera at work with different remote and different devices (same person!) but no success. Too strange…
Timeout every time. I try with inclusion on the remote first and then replication , but failed
No ideas…

There are 2 ”different” methods in UI5 how to add Vera to another Z-Wave network (or get Vera “working”):

 1. Setup > Z-Wave Settings > Advanced and click button go “Copy Z-Wave network from a master controller”
 2. Devices > Add Devices > Advanced Z-Wave devices > Add MiOS to another Z-Wave network

Is the result identical for the way how Vera is added to the network or are there differences (how Vera is going to operate)? And if there are differences, what they are?
1) Setup > Z-Wave Settings > Advanced and click button go “Copy Z-Wave network from a master controller”
2) Devices > Add Devices > Advanced Z-Wave devices > Add MiOS to another Z-Wave network
None of them works, replication or inclusion, timeout every time. My remote controller with the network is positioned over the vera, so there is not a RF problem. ???
